\u003C/a>\n\nThe Stack Exchange Data Explorer, or SEDE:\n\n\u003Col>\n \u003Cli>provides easy web-based access to the latest and greatest monthly Stack Exchange website data dumps*\u003C/li>\n \u003Cli>gives us an \u003Ca href=\"http://www.odata.org/\">Open Data Protocol\u003C/a> (odata) endpoint\u003C/li>\n \u003Cli>allows testing, running, editing and \u003Cem>permalinking\u003C/em> to public queries against our corpus of data with a simple, syntax-highlighted web UI\u003C/li>\n \u003Cli>can be used as a permanently linkable tool for teaching general SQL and relational database concepts -- we can be our own \u003Ca href=\"http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa276825(SQL.80).aspx\">Northwind\u003C/a> or \u003Ca href=\"http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa238305(SQL.80).aspx\">Pubs\u003C/a> database, when answering questions tagged [sql]!\u003C/li>\n \u003Cli>hosted on \u003Ca href=\"http://www.microsoft.com/windowsazure/windowsazure/\">Windows Azure\u003C/a> so it's speedy, scalable, and always available (and did I mention, generously sponsored by Microsoft?)\u003C/li>\n \u003Cli>built from the same ASP.NET MVC software stack as our own engine, and will be open-sourced so others can learn from the code\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ol>\n\nWe've been working with \u003Ca href=\"http://stackoverflow.com/users/17174/sam-saffron\">Sam Saffron\u003C/a> to build this out, and even though this is only a public beta, it's already amazing!
