Companies Hiring PHP Developers Right Now

Article hero image

PHP, a server-side scripting language with a strong open source following, is consistently in demand from employers. Popular PHP frameworks including Zend, CodeIgnitor, Symfony, and Laravel often show up in job listings, as well. If you have PHP skills and are looking for an employer who needs you, look no further. Here are some companies looking for what you have to offer:

The Marcus Buckingham Company

Senior Full Stack PHP Developer, Revolutionizing the world of work!

That’s quite a lofty title from this ADP company, but then Beverly Hills is a lofty kind of place. TMBC is looking for a senior developer with 5+ years’ experience in PHP and knowledge of at least one of the common PHP frameworks. They also want somebody with a BS in Computer Science or related, though they’ll consider equivalent experience in lieu of formal education. They’re offering relocation and/or visa sponsorship to get you to their California office. If you’re ready to check out the 90210, apply here.

Avant8 Pty Ltd

Senior Full Stack Magician

This remote role offers a salary of $65-100K and comes with a high level of autonomy. “You will be assigned tasks, both small and large, and a general timeframe, but given the autonomy and freedom to schedule your own daily tasks as long as you complete what needs to get done.” Australia based Avant8 has a presence in the US and a fully distributed team. They’re looking for a developer well versed in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP, but offer the freedom to choose your own framework. Learn more and apply here.

Time Doctor

PHP Developer 100% Remote

Time Doctor’s distributed team is located in Asia and Europe, so they prefer somebody from those regions in order to work as a team without significant timezone difficulties. They need somebody who is “an expert” in PHP with at least 5 years’ experience and prefer somebody with Symfony experience. Time Doctor scores 12 out of 12 on the Joel Test. Apply here.

TrackStreet

Senior Full-Stack CodeIgniter PHP Developer

TrackStreet is another fully-remote company looking for a PHP developer with experience in “a PHP framework such as CodeIgniter or Laravel” (so while the job title specifies CodeIgniter, it appears that other frameworks are also acceptable). This role requires a BS/MS in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of experience building successful web applications. This contract position offers equity as part of its salary package. Learn more and apply here.

TicketSauce

Full-Stack CakePHP Developer

TicketSauce is “a small, close-knit team of developers” who all work from home. They’re looking for a US-based developer with 3+ years of experience in PHP development and a “working knowledge” of CakePHP. They list no education requirements, and will base salary (listed as a range of $40-80K) on knowledge and experience. Apply to work at TicketSauce here.

Ocono

Senior PHP Developer (high traffic and real time analysis)

Berlin-based Ocono is searching for a developer with at least 5 years of relevant experience, expertise in PHP, and good knowledge of major frameworks (Symfony, Phalcon, Laravel, etc.). They’re offering a competitive salary as well as visa sponsorship and/or relocation assistance if required to get you to their Berlin office. The team is international and you should feel comfortable working in English or German. Apply here. You can always find the newest PHP job listings at Stack Overflow Jobs.
